Vasek might. That's a weak top half. He should beat Tatlot. Schwank is coming off of injury and I haven't seen Lojda do anything lately.

Frank could beat M&M, and Bachginer, though it's unlikely. I feel like Bachinger will qualify beating Frank in round 2 and Vasek in round 3.

There are no real clay courters in the Polansky/Diez section. Golubev is good on the surface however, and should be Peter if he's on. I don't know much of Kudla on clay but it'll probably be good enough to beat Steven. I'd be happy with 1 of them in round 2 to be honest but ir probably won't happen.

Re: Canadian Players 2

sucks that they put the two best Canadians in the same section (even if there chances of making it through were always going to be slim)

Peter served for the match at 9-8 third set and saved first BP but not the second

Re: Canadian Players 2

What happened to Peter Polansky? He used to qualify for Grand Slams but it seems he can't anymore. I don't know what's going on with his game or career.

I guess there is a reason why they say qualifying for a grand slam is the three toughest matches to win on tour..

Peter Polansky
Nestor - Chvojka - Pospisil - Raonic - Peliwo

Re: Canadian Players 2

With Del Potro withdrawing after the qualifying started, and Bogomolov losing before the qualifying round, Vasek, as the top remaining seed in the qualifying round, would get LL into the main draw should he lose to Frank tomorrow.

There have been 3 withdrawals so 3 LL but that's not how it works.

They will take the 5 highest ranked final round losers and draw 3. They do this only in slams, if someone else withdraws before they draw the LL in then it will be 4 for 6 draw

Re: Canadian Players 2

Ideal situation is a Frank victory and then Vasek gets in as a LL. He has a 3 in 5 chance (and maybe more the way withdrawls have been going)

Okay - it's different for GSs. Thinking it over, the best way for all tournaments would be to draw LLs from the qualifying round losers (who have signed up for LL consideration).

I'm picking Frank to win, where it's on clay and there's been the day off between matches.
