Only surprised by Krainek's lose. Lim is not a great player.

Re: Canadian Players 2

I could see today's match being a close one for Polansky.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Kinda of thought Polansky's might be close too, but it wasn't in the end. Choi did okay to take five games off Udomchoke, and Pokrajac lost in two close sets.

Well done, Phil Anderson. First Atlantic Canadian ever to earn an ATP ranking point in singles, unless I'm mistaken.

He's done quite well this year actually, qualifying for a bunch of the future events. Tomorrow I expect Chu and Pokrajac to make it 6 Canadians in the second round.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Too bad that qualifying doesn't earn points - maybe it could be that to do so twice or three times could give a player a point. The ATP also should change that a player who qualifies for more tournaments is ranked lower than a player who doesn't when they both players have the same number of points. (Because it is that the player who has played in more main draws, regardless of why he has been entered into these main draws, is ranked lower than another player with the same number of ranking points but who has played in fewer main draws.)

Re: Canadian Players 2

Chvojka just outside the top 200 - great stuff. Really hope Bester can get it going, but it's the same with him for a few years now. Diez is definitely coming along.

Phil Anderson bothering to play the NS Open while on vacation back home. (Adam Becker the No. 2 seed and Luke Saunders, a junior, seeded 3) Anderson has graduated from uni. so I guess he'll head out to try the pro tour. (I should just ask him his intentions when at the NS Open.)

Even though it's a great accomplishment no doubt, I don't consider Milojevic a top 10 player. He chases easy points.
