I'm not sure if you follow tennis in BC at all but Henry Choi won an event out there last weekend with wins over David Chu and Jeremy Salvo.
Yeah, I look at the results once in a while. Choi always wins these events, except when phil bester is playing, or if dan chu is in great form.

Really, I didn't know that, he showed pretty decent results in a few futures this year.

Re: Canadian Players 2

I think he works with the up and coming players in BC (though I'm really uncertain about that). but yeah he was pretty good in the futures. he probably trains with the guys like bester and peliwo when they're home (i figure) or other strong BC players such as Jecminek, both Chu's, Flint, Coutts, Brown, Salvo, etc...

Re: Canadian Players 2

As requested, here is the main draw for the open tournament in Laval:
http://baseline.computan.com/cliente...5ZIqmwsIkzEg==

they used the canadian rankings to do the seeds, so that's why they are pretty wierd (e.g. Monette over Krainik)

Re: Canadian Players 2

Krainek was also ranked below Rotaru last week. Some really interesting matchups, why is Simmonds there, I wonder.

Match-up I want to see:

Chvojka vs Lew
Chvojka vs Di Feo
Berard vs Gubenco
Gubenco vs Krainek
Monette vs Juneau

Obviously, this event is very interesting from the quarters on, I am very interested to see who will play Chvojka in each round, Chvojka losing before the final would be a huge surprise I think.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Bit weird that Phillip Simmonds is there as he is playing in the 15K in California this week. I guess he pulls out of the Laval event if he doesn't get beaten in CA before the QF?

The qualifying is almost done. The main draw starts on tuesday. Since they update the qualifying draw every day, they will update the main draw for sure.
