Haessig is playing qualifying in Austria next week. Can't really see him going anywhere at this point.

Re: Canadian Players 2

My wildcards for the Roger's Cup would probably be

Dancevic
Pospisil
Bester
Polansky

Polansky I'm a little iffy about because so far I think Chvojka has been playing better this year, but Polansky steps up at the big events.

Qualifying WC's would be Chvojka, Diez, PLD, and Peliwo, not sure if there's more than 4.

Re: Canadian Players 2

The qualies draw for the Canada F3 is out and as expected there's a whole bunch of Canadians. I see Pokrajac and Peliwo are in the draw which is kind of surprising to me since I thought they'd get main draw WCs, especially Peliwo after his result last week. So that means maybe the WCs went to Rotaru, Monette, White, and Nguyen? (I think Chu got in directly since he was next in on the list).

Re: Canadian Players 2

im not surprised filip has to qualify

he may have gotten through qualifying this past week in granby but he played an awful match in both singles and doubles in the first round of the main draw

Why would Monette get a WC then?

Re: Canadian Players 2

Maybe Monette is given a WC in recognition of the fact that earlier this year he qualified in Canada Futures 1 and 2.

Anyway the Canadians put on a decent showing in qualies today, with Langer, Pokrajac and Peliwo taking out seeded players. We have 7 in the final round, and we are guaranteed 2 qualifiers.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Peliwo is going to be a decent pro player if he decides to play Pro. I have no idea if he has any ambitions of going the NCAA route but if he goes pro at 18 I can see him having a decent career.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Well, the Canadians were inspired today in the final qualies round - we got a maximum number of qualifiers:
Ochotta, Pokrajac, Choi, Peliwo and Pasareanu.

Disappointing to see that Polansky is not in the draw - I hope this injury is not going to drag on too long.
