For this reason I do agree with you, however, that as far as qualy wildcards are concerned, all of them should be for Canadians.
I always feel split on this point, I agree and disagree. I think that the major difference between the Canadian guys and guys like Tomic or Young is that this is basically a once-a-season thing for them. It's not like they won't have to go through the grind of qualys and earn their place, as they'll be there the other 51 weeks of the year, where players like Young and Tomic can potentially get a lot of WCs. At the same time, Milos' big breakthrough came when he was in the qualies, so maybe it would make sense.

I figure that a wildcard for Phil will hang on whether Hewitt wants one, unless Bester, like, wins a fifth rubber to send us to WG PO.

Re: Canadian Players 2

As a very pro-Canadian, I want a Canadian to win the Rogers Cup.

Is any of you actually heading to a Granby Challenger by any chance?

Seven players in the top 350. When is the last time Canada had that?

Surprised Diez got 3 games, sometimes he doesn't even get three games against players who are ranked outside the top 1500.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Don't really know what his motivation was to play that Challenger and who the hell gave him the wildcard. I guess his next move is Granby?

What a waste. I rather see Diez play some futures than being a welcome mat for players at the challenger level.

Qualifying draw out, some of these players will never have a better chance to qualify for a challenger.

I expect.

Berard
