Re: Frank Dancevic

..

He's beaten a top seed already this year in Johannesburg, so it's not too hopeless although that was on hard court

If Frank played in Nottingham he would have needed to go through qualies where as in Rijka he gets into the MD.

However, I still would have Frank's chance is Nottingham better and would be a good prep for Wimbledon.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Looks like Frank is off to a good start in his opening match. Really improved play on his part on the clay this year. Really bodes well for that Davis Cup tie in a few weeks.

Re: Frank Dancevic

If Frank is going to want to win this one, he will really have to improve that first serve. 42% just isn't going to cut it.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Disappointing to see that Dancevic is not in the Halle qualy draw, which I thought was the plan.

I am still curious about why he is not making the most of the (limited) opportunities to play on grass, given that this is one of his favourite surfaces.

Re: Frank Dancevic

I remember Dancevic when he was the s*** back he played Davis Cup for us against Brazil and helped our team make it to World Group but now it seems like he can't get his act together. To me, he seems like a mental midget. At one point, I thought he was the real deal and make it top 50 but alas, it has yet to be seen.

Re: Frank Dancevic

The draw gods once again have it in for Frank.

10th seed Stephane Robert in round 1 followed likely by Carsten Ball in round 2. If he makes it to round 3, probably Van der Merwe.

Tough draw overall.

Re: Frank Dancevic

stephane robert v.s frank dancevic
carsten ball v.s danai udomchoke
andreas molteni v.s grgoire burquier
marco crugnola v.s izak van der merwe

no one thought he'd get through and qualify for the french so i wont say he cant get through here but..yeah this draw isnt that great

i think the biggest challenge would be van der nerwe but i think frank qill qualify

Ball worries me the most. If his serve is on it will be difficult

Robert is probably the weakest top seed in any section and if you cannot beat Van der Merwe on your best surface then you don't deserve to be in a GS. Really good draw for Frank.

Re: Frank Dancevic

I like the draw, Ball doesn't worry me, he sucks lately, he should be able to handle Robert on Grass, Van Der Merwe would be the toughesr challenger but he should be able to take that on grass too
