Re: Frank Dancevic

What more could you ask for? A night session with Fed and Frank playing. I'm glad I shelled out for good seats tonight, can't wait!

Re: Frank Dancevic

A very quick first set.

6-1 to Wawrinka. Frank started to play some nice tennis toward the end of the set but hasnt been able to find any first serves at all. The crowd is being amazing and kudos to any of you guys that are there. For a guy 6-1 down the support is completly fantastic.

Frank needs to dig in and try and find that 1st serve.

Re: Frank Dancevic

he's playing better than I expected on Wawrinka's serve getting to deuce on all his first 3 return games, just hasn't been able to convert, his serve is the problem at the moment

Re: Frank Dancevic

2 break points for Frank but he cannot take them. Would have been fantastic for him to go 3-1 up on serve but alas its 2-2. His 1st serve has improved from 35% to 46%

Overall he's honestly looked pretty weak tonight. The serve is off, and anytime they get into a rally Wawrinka has the upper hand. The fact Wawrinka takes mental breaks and plays loose points is what's keeping Frank in the match.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Frank digs himself out after a few points for Stan. Needs really to get a break to turn this match.

Re: Frank Dancevic

4-4 into the real time now for Frank. I can see him winning this set but going down in 3.

However the lift from this fantastic crowd if he got a set could spur him onto win it....

Re: Frank Dancevic

Well if one thing has been clear for a while - and was clearly in evidence tonight - is that its going to be a very long road for Frank if he ever wants to get back into the top 100.

He really just couldn't navigate the big points and take his chances. Wawrinka was certainly there for the taking in the 2nd set.

So he goes to Cincy now?

Re: Frank Dancevic

Well that was depressing, Wawrinka played pretty awful, and Frank just couldn't take advantage. At least we still got Peter playing tomorrow. If he plays like he did on Monday he can win, if he doesn't well, I don't want to believe he won't play well

I agree buddy. I feel he should take a week or so off and get himself prepared for the final part of the season. Get himself 100% fit and work on a few errors. Play some challengers navigate himself back into the top 150 and then have a nice Christmas and go into spring 2011 knowing you have no points to defend and see what happens.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Well it was certainly a thrill to be there and get to watch Frank but I have to agree, he played terribly. He's got a ways to go before he regains the form of last summer (let alone 2007).
