Really a shame, he had a good draw here.

Frank A real chance here, unfortunate that he couldn't take advantage.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Frank suffered an injury during his match against Lindahl, won't make it to LA from what I hear. Washington is also a question mark. I don't have all the details but I hope it's not too serious, his ranking will probably in the 500 territory before long.

Yes I just read that he ran into the scoreboard at full speed and caused a 24 centimetre cut from his leg up to his hip. He is out of LA and doubtful for Washington.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Frank is in Montreal and there is a chance he might play Granby if he gets a WC but more likely he will be playing Washington qualies. The cut didn't require stitches and he won't hit for a week so it all depends on how he heals.

His ajent is working out the details with ATP. he feels like he should be able to play and they are letting him have his first match on Tuesday giving him an extra day to heal. It is nice to sit beside his dad to get this type of info for you guys who are truely his biggest fans.
Thanks for the info Bad luck for sure

Re: Frank Dancevic

Wow, talk about bad luck, what a weird way to be injured, and on MP, definitely a strange one. Hopefully he will heal up quickly.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Poor lad that sounds very nasty.

I think he needs to start playing some more challengers and really get some momentum going. As tempting as it is financially to play quals for ATP tournaments its often ever so tough to win 3 qual matches and then another 2 to actually get worthwhile ATP points. I mean thats 5 matches and in those 5 matches you are going to have to defeat at least two players in the top 100.

If he is playing anywhere near in good form he should make a deep run in the Granby challenger. Im just hoping he can get miles away from the top 300-500 he deserves to be nowhere near that.

If he could stay fit and healthy he would be a top 100 player without doubt.

Re: Frank Dancevic

yes dancevic has a wildcard and faces igor sijsling in the first round. sijsling is seeded #6 and is ranked 161.
a very winnable match for frank (if however he is totally fit to play...)
