Re: Frank Dancevic

Frank is entered on the alternate list for both Vienna and St. Petersburg, and is fourth on both, so hopefully he'll be able to make it into at least one, assuming his injury isn't an issue by mid-October.

Great news. You do really have to wonder where Frank would be right now in his career if he could have stayed injury free (top 50). I think we all remember it was only a few years ago Frank beat Del Potro three times in one year and now well...

Consistency is simply not Frank's strong point.

Is this the same person posting? Because these two posts completely contradict each other.

I agree with the latter, by the way.

Got me!!! Except in the latter post I had meant to put a question mark next to top 50. I guess its too late to edit.

I'm trying to be less negative but I maintain that while you cant dismiss injuries there are other reasons beyond that which explain why Frank is not a top 100 player right now. I dont think its a slam dunk case that Frank would be top 50 right now were he healthy. When he has been healthy, he's never followed up any "breakthrough" with any consistency, as has been documented multiple times on these boards.

I'd love nothing more for Frank to stay healthy and crack the top 50 and prove me wrong.

I think that is what everyone wants, sometimes its just a bit hard to see that happening.

Frank turns 25 today. I'm going to celebrate by having several beers tonight in his honor. :-)

Re: Frank Dancevic

I noticed Frank is third alternate for Lyon. Anyone know if he'll be back by then or is this season pretty much over for him?

Re: Frank Dancevic

Looks like Frank has shut it down for the season, because he is out of all the alternates lists in Europe so my guess is that he won't be back until the start of the 2010 season where hopefully he can make some noise

Nice for him

Too bad he couldn't have won that Eastbourne final, that was one of the fairly rare highlights in an otherwise poor year.

But here's hoping he can rebound from injury with a strong 2010

Any word on Frank's prospective return date? Is he going to play the Aussie qualies?
