Re: Frank Dancevic

Great news for Frank. Does anyone know if Frank loses his qualies point or does he only lose them if he wins the first round in the main draw?

Quite sure he gets main draw first round prize money and points (27 000 pounds and 10 points) and not Q2 dough and points (13 5000 pounds and 8 points). Why wouldn't that be the case?

he'll get first round prize money(if he loses) and the 10+ points for being in the main draw as well as whatever points you get for losing in round 3 of qualies.

And Bolelli got Ito

Karlovic is the clear favorite - lets not kid ourselves.

Re: Frank Dancevic

According to Open Court, Frank is taking July off to play World Team Tennis. Not sure that's the best decision given he is on the brink of making the Top 100.

He gets paid to play that.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Both of their previous matches have been close, but Karlovic goes into this with a bit better form, I'd say. Yeah, I hope he can get out of his team tennis engagement - it might pay $1000 a week, or maybe $1500 - getting into the top 80 or so would bring in more money, I'm sure, and he is getting rather close.

I picked Karlovic to win this week in FITD and he lost rather easily to Chardy so his form might not be that great, hopefully anyway

Re: Frank Dancevic

Karlovic must be a bit off - just watching the score occasionally and for Frank to break Ivo at 5-4 to win the first set was a nice gift you'd think. Now up two sets to love, but Frank (more the Frank of the past) has been here before and blown it. Think he's more solid mentally now, will pull this off, even if in four or five sets (but hopefully three).
