I think anything less than semi would be a disappointment ... but he keeps having mystifying losses so, yah, who knows. Just wonder if he is fully fit.

I dunno, going to a TB with that player is a bit worrying.

That's true but his next round opponent lost to Schnur last week. That was the basis for my comment.

Yeah, plus the 1st set at a new tourney isn't that big a deal if it's close I suppose, 2nd set wasn't even close and that's what counts I guess, unless the other player just ran out of energy, or mentally beat themselves.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Playing Borvanov today, never met before, don't think he'll do much to trouble Dancy, should win pretty easy if healthy.

It's been very hot there all week, I live a bit near there, like 3 hours maybe a bit less. Its very hot, but thunderstorms and rain today everywhere, so it may be a bit cooler tomorrow.

Weak player plays hard, loses a close 76, its over 40C, its easy to see how the second set can end 61.

Re: Frank Dancevic

It's good to see Frank healthy again. When healthy, he's top 100 material. I want him back in the top 100 at some point this year. If Frank, Vasek, Jesse can stay in top 100, that means we will have 4 Canucks in the top 100.

Sadly not many people have stuck it out to watch him.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Frank seems to play a lot better after a day's rest, so glad to see him get his match in and then win so comfortably. Forecasting 26 and sunny for Thursday so physically he should have a good day.

Re: Frank Dancevic

I actually believe this match up can go either way. Dancevic has had lots of mystifying losses, so a loss to Peliwo is not out of the question. I'm gonna predict Peliwo will upset Dancevic in 3 sets. Frank has a habit of stupefying us fans.

I think Frank will win this, as I don't think physically Peliwo will be able to keep up after the long hot weather matches he's been playing.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Dancevic pretty easily in two is my prediction, but I do think Bester can beat Frank if they play.
