It seems Reynolds just has Frank's number!

Re: Frank Dancevic

Wow! It must be a question of motivation, I mean given what he can do, as in Davis Cup...

Re: Frank Dancevic

you know..its disappointing that he cant replicate what how he played in davis cup all the time. Once i saw able to see it i was so proud and yet frustrated at the same time. he'd be in the top 100 easily if he could

Re: Frank Dancevic

Pretty sure they're married. Looks like Frank got some of his hair cropped off. Really hope he can do what he's never done at Indian Wells, qualify.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Very tough draw for Frank, don't think he'll make it, Kamke's a good player.

Re: Frank Dancevic

imo it's rather weak, Kamke is good and he's top 100 for a reason. But if I had to choose between the top 12 seeds he would be maybe 4th on my list for guys I'd want to play. Ebden has not been very good at all lately either. He could have had slightly weaker but I like the draw, he could have gotten a lot worse. With this draw if he plays like he's capable of he gets through, you can't say that for most draws imo.

Re: Frank Dancevic

I agree - Frank got a good draw. Kamke is still favoured, but only slightly - Kamke of late just has wins over Kukushkin (who has had no form) and Chiudinelli, and both took three sets. And Frank can really go for it, knowing his second round match will be winnable even if he's a little off/tired, either against Ebden or Golubev. It doesn't mean Frank will show up with his A game today, but if he does, he's qualifying.

Re: Frank Dancevic

As long as he doesn't face a Golubev in (rare) red hot form, he at least has a good chance.

All the guys in this quarter can play very well when on, but they all lack consistency. Golubev is on another level regarding both consistency and highest level though.

Take it Frank!

Re: Frank Dancevic

I know what you mean about Golubev, remember him beating up on someone at the U.S. Open, I think it was Nadal, dominating for like a set and a half before cooling (a la Rosol). But ilke you say, he mostly plays about where he is ranked, and sometimes lower. But I would argue Frank reached the same kind of form in beating Granollers; but likewise he almost never plays at the level for any number of games in a row.

Just checked - Nadal at 2011 Open; Nadal won in straight sets, 3, 5 and 6 but Golubev was crushing forehands.

Re: Frank Dancevic

First set in the bag for Frank. Neither player seems to be playing that great and it must be windy (judging from watching the score roll in) - first serve percentages low all around.
