Re: Frank Dancevic

That's two GS qualies in a row where he loses first round after wasting match points. Really time to start asking himself how much longer he wants to do this. Once or even twice fine - it happens. But this has been a pattern in Frank's career and it cant be getting any easier

Re: Frank Dancevic

Maybe a tough loss, but Brands is a quality player, so it's not a surprise.

Re: Frank Dancevic

He might be a quality player(not that great but about as good as Frank) but you still don't lose to him 7-5 when you're 5-2 up. I'd be pissed if he done that against Federer too, you just shouldn't do that as often as Frank does, especially to a guy like Brands who is serve reliant, you don't get broken twice in a row.

He had a mp too

Re: Frank Dancevic

I didn't realize Brands won the last five games. That is really disappointing. Is that the first time Brands won five games in a row at the ATP level? Probably.

Hehe, he's not that bad I don't think, this still wasn't ATP level though, qualy level, Dancy isn't an ATP level player right now.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Very tough loss again, but let's look it the positive way.
He is obviously fit and close to beating guys like this, which is a good thing. He needs confidence from a few wins.

Next up probably Heilbronn.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Karlovic retired so Dancy thru to face a qualifier, then either Gulbis or Mathieu. The quarterfinal match should get him primed for DC. Hope he doesn't fall ill though; a bunch of guys retired from matches today, must be some germ on the go in germany.

Not a great win vs. Cervenak, doesn't bode well for DC, if he was in form this would be straight sets with no TB.
