Maybe 4 or 5 if he wants to get more of a workout in.

Re: Milos Raonic

to prove my point.. it's already 3-0 to Simon. My only hope now is that Milos avoids a bagel.. because this is.. yikes

Back on serve, good fightback, 2*-3

3-0 is only one break, way too early to think about a bagel, especially with Milos' serve

Re: Milos Raonic

Did they move the match to a non-TV court?

Re: Milos Raonic

Suspended due to darkness at 5*-6 in the first set. Pretty good set for Milos I would say, but a pretty crappy time to have to suspend the match. Verdasco lost the 1st set in a TB before it was suspended.

Be warned, this match can still go either way. Without divulging too much, I can tell you Milos does have a new strategy he is looking to deploy.

Re: Milos Raonic

I was just thinking about how fast Milos' rise was, from 156 to 27 in these 4 months this year, and was wondering how it compared to top players so I took the date that the top player was first ranked just inside 156 to when he first got ranked inside 27 and this is what i found

Nadal - March 3/2003 - April 4/2005, - - > 2 years, 1 month
Federer - Febuary 22/1999 - November 6/2000 - - > 1 year 8 months, 2 weeks
Djokovic - April 11/2005 - July 31/2006 - - > 1 year, 3 months, 3 weeks
Murray - July 25/2005 - August 14/2006 - - > 1 year, 3 weeks

I'm not saying he will be as good as these players(I really hope he will) but it sure puts into context really how fast his rise has been.

I actually thought Nadal's was much faster because he won RG the first time he played it(and again, and again, etc.) but because he was injured first time around I guess it took longer

You should post this in GM! It would definitely shut up the haters

Re: Milos Raonic

Milos took 7-6 (4) the first set . Quickly he was serving 4-1 in the TB, he lost next point but then both players hold their serves until the end

Milos playing well today. From Twitter: Impressive TB from MR, really mixing up his shots and ending last two points with volleys, the last one a brilliant pick-up off his toes.

Re: Milos Raonic

Good effort from Milos to win the TB - only 3rd 1st set TB he has won this year (against 6 lost).

But he still needs to work on the problem of the let-down at the opening of the next set!
