Re: Milos Raonic

Milos

Really looked solid in the third, it's been his style, but just no panic or letdown after losing the second, yet again.

He's now the most accomplished singles player in Canadian history; he has the highest ranking ever achieved by a Canadian, and the best GS performance.

Re: Milos Raonic

If he wins the title, he'll pass Roger Federer in the race . Pretty good for a newcomer, that for the most part of people saw him came from out of nowhere to getting in two consecutive finals. Keep it up , kid.

Man, that's crazy when you think guys like Lareau fought so hard during all their career to achieve these kind of results/ranking but never did, and then Milos did it all in 4 months and 9 ATP tournaments.

Re: Milos Raonic

I hope he plays Roddick. That way I won't mind if either win, but I'm obviously rooting for Milos so he can continue this epic streak.

I also think his game matches up better with Roddick. Roddick is at his most vulnerable when someone can match his serving performance (like Isner at the USO) and Milos clearly can. Roddick's whole game is that it's intimidating because the pressure is on to always hold serve because he holds so easily.

I like Del Po too but with every match he wins, he's getting exponentially closer to his old form. When he's at that, he's almost unbeatable on hard courts.

For those interested in how Milos got here, Stephanie Myles has done a retrospective (includes video footage of young Milos):

Re: Milos Raonic

Hope Milos can beat Roddick. Two titles in as many weeks for someone of Milos' experience would be nothing short of incredible, and he would've beat three top 10 players (Verdasco x2 + Roddick) to get them.

Tennis is life...
Motivated Paire Berdych Gulbis Wawrinka Dimitrov Verdasco Giraldo

Really impressed that Milos managed to get to the final again this week. Hoping he pulls out the win this week too

Re: Milos Raonic

Too bad Milos didn't take advantage of those early BP chances. Draw for Acapulco is out, he'll play Berlocq first round. I'd expect him to lose, given his lack of clay experience, but it's not a bad draw.

Re: Milos Raonic

I was hoping he'd be up against Verdasco, so Verdasco could eat his words about not being able to play real tennis.

Anyways Roddick is looking really shaky out there, apparently he's not feeling well and has a kink in his neck.

Re: Milos Raonic

5-6 for Milos. Milos has only dropped 1 point on serve all match and has had 12 aces. He should be favored in the tiebreak given the set so far.
