Found out about this in a Croatian portal today,it's still speculation but hope it's true Ljubo might just be starting out,but he can definitely be a top coach if he'll be serious about it.

My friend is American and was watching the match and said Ljubo is really interested.

Re: Milos Raonic

According to tennis world Ljubicic turned down Baggy's request to coach him ... and it appears this is before he knew Raonic was a possibility. Personally, I hope Milos

a) makes a call on a new coach fairly soon and
b) hires a full timer.

Know its a huge decision (and therefore maybe you don't want to rush it), but Milos is in a situation where I think he needs some help right now. No, he's not done a horrible job (people writing him off as a one-dimensional player who has no potential for growth really have no clue or really don't watch him) ... and his early losses this clay season have been somewhat understandable. I watched all 4 losses ... Jarko played at an extremely high level, Nadal is Nadal, Verdasco all of a sudden started playing like at top-20/30 player again (was brutal for most of season), and Kohli was also really good. So, sort of good excuses. BUT, if he wants to be a big time player, he's got to beat those guys (ok, not Nadal .. at least not yet) even on clay. Everything since San Jose has been pretty disappointing (probably worst was that 1st round loss in Memphis to Sock .. he should have cruised to the final & probably won against Kei).

My gut tells me Ivan could be a good fit. Hope it happens soon. Can't fumble through rest of European season; gotta 1. get the ship progressing again and 2. pick up at least some points before HC season (get closer to top 10) where he has lots of points to defend.

4 set win over Malisse. So is Lubo his new coach or are they just working together temporarily?

Maybe both .. I've seen reports that they are a) only committed to working through RG or b) working through Wimby .. not sure which. My guess is that this trial period is good for both of Milos & Ivan ... Lubo was always going to get back in the game somehow (highly respected) but he also has a young family. Milos needs a fulltime coach IMHO ... can Ivan commit to being in America for a couple months straight for HC season & then Asia for another chunk of time? Not sure.

BTW, from watching today's match, a more aggressive Milos is fun to watch; and his ROS really wasn't that bad .. actually pretty good (well, maybe X-man's serve - which has got to be at the bottom echelon of the tour - ain't the best measuring stick :-) ). But that backhand from the baseline still needs lots of work.

Re: Milos Raonic

Seems to be working temporarily with a reasonable chance of making it permanent. Milos was far more aggressive than he has been, which I think has to be his style of play. I also still think that Blanco did very good things for Milos, but someone new was needed to take that next step.

Re: Milos Raonic

I mostly liked what I saw from Milos. Some lapses (including at a crucial time in the 3rd set) but the way Malisse played in the beginning, any player could get distracted thinking that his opponent didn't give a shit. Some nice volleys, too.

That was just briefly in Monaco, don't know that there was much to it.

Re: Milos Raonic

I expect a better match vs Anderson today. Really disappointed. Another knows how's his hip? TV showed his match vs Llodra yesterday during rain delay and I saw him grabbed his hip during changeover.
