They let him play tennis once after they saw his "consistency is everything" advertisement.

Re: Milos Raonic

This is what Nick Bolleteri said of Milos.

-Raonic has an excellent serve motion and can crank it up to about 138 to 140 mph. He is only 21 years old and was 650 in the world not long ago. He is currently ranked 160th. In Tokyo he lost to Nadal 7-6, 6-4 but Nadal said to look out for this kid, he could be a top-ten player.
-He is a tall boy but hunches over with his shoulder. He must work on his posture because later in life this could be a problem.
He possesses huge kick on his 2nd serve, moves around well and hits a big forehand. He also has a solid two handed backhand with a very short, compact swing.
-Has a huge 1st serve and gets a high percentage in.
-Raonic is very calm and doesn’t exude many emotions on the court, but when the ball is in play the young kid is good and has a bright future.

Re: Milos Raonic

Nice comments but should maybe get his starts in line. 20, not 21 and it was 6-4, 6-4 if I recall

Re: Milos Raonic

With a win tonight, Milos would enter the top 100.

I agree with most of what he said. Though like the person over me said, he should get his stats right. The scoreline from the Nadal match and his age was wrong :P

Anyway.. I think his calmness on court is one of his main strentghs. He keeps cool and focused, and he seems very strong mentally. He wins most tiebreaks, and he doesn't fold under pressure at all. We all know how important it is to be focused and mentally strong in this sport. It's why Rafa is where he is today. He's had a lot of close matches which he won because he's so strong mentally. That is also one of the main problems with Peter imo. He gets too down on himself if he's down a break, and he just can't stay focused.. he's also lost many close matches.

The second thing is his movement. I think it's coming along. He certainly moved better now than a few months ago, I can definitely see an improvment, and his fitness seems better too. He needs to stay fit in order not to tire himself out in these best of 5 matches. He also should work a bit on ros. He's not returning serve well imo. I do see some improvments there too, better than what he did a few months ago. However, I think he should improve that further. Both movement and ROS are aspects he needs to work on imo.

Bolleteri also got Milos' ranking wrong. Milos is world no. 152 atm, not 160

Go Milos!
