Re: Milos Raonic

You're right. It's funny how many people (including myself) just figured 'big serve, success on grass'. True prior to ten years ago when big servers were all serve and volleyers.

Re: Milos Raonic

So, Milos is now a resident of Monaco - this is probably,in my opinion, done to avoid the Canadian taxes.

Kinda ironic that Tennis Canada pays for his coach and had, previously, provided training and facility resources when he was a junior. How much has Tennis Canada invested in Milos? My guess is between $500K and $750K...if not more...

That's great Milos wants to support Canadian tennis, but maybe it should start by paying Canadian taxes, like most Canadians; especially considering he may not have seen this kind of income if Canada didn't invest in him...

Of course, it's legal for a Canadian citizen to become a 'non-resident' to avoid taxes, but considering the amount of support that Canada has given Milos, you'd think he wouldn't be so quick to avoid Canadian taxes.

If Milos wants to not pay Canadian taxes, at the very least, don't make Canada pay for your coach...

Of course, if Milos is paying Canadian taxes on his income, then disregard this post...

Just my 2 cents...

Good job Milos! Unfortunately you don't stand a chance against Tsonga. I'm guessing Tsonga will win 6-4, 6-2.

Re: Milos Raonic

That sucks then, might as well withdraw and get ready for Toronto if he has no chance, no need to waste court time, and wear the grass down

Actually, according to you(or tommy), your future posts tells me he has no chance in Toronto either. Just as well to retire and continue University

Your prediction sure was close. Milos only won 26 more games than you predicted!

Seconded.

I didn't see the match; I wasn't home, but what a score! Good for Milos standing with Tsonga for so long.

Re: Milos Raonic

Great match Milos. All Canadians should be proud of you!
Monaco I'm not sure about that. Nestor is also residence of Bahamas so they got nice Tax breaks.

Re: Milos Raonic

Milos held serve for 31 consecutive games - a truly impressive feat! I didn't know he could do that against a top player.

Re: Milos Raonic

With so many withdrawals in the Rogers Cup, this is a golden opportunity for Milos to pick up a bunch of points (or even the title).
