Re: Milos Raonic

I absolutely hate it.. at least wait until he's actually done something significant at the Rogers Cup at least. They're better off naming it after Daniel Nestor who's much more accomplished and deserving. Raonic may have his day in the future but as of now, horrible choice.

Since 2004, Grandstand Court in Toronto has been named after the Tennis Canada Player of the Year award winner.
well that explains it. I wasn't aware of this lol *smacks self for not reading the whole thing first*

It got me worried there for a sec that it will forever be named after Raonic at such an early time in his career

Re: Milos Raonic

he got a rematch with picasso in the first round of Halle. Going by form this should be a demolition job

however picasso is playing at home and knows what he has to defend so while it should be easy i dont think it will be

Re: Milos Raonic

Potentially a tough rematch with Petzschner, but I think Milos should be fine, especially since he's avenged the loss from last year twice already. good luck to him

Re: Milos Raonic

talking about bad luck, barely miss the top4 seed bye and then get the most difficult possible draw..
whenever on clay he draws to Nadal and on grass/blue clay/hard he gets Fed as early as he can
but its only a 250 event, wimbledon is all that matters

Re: Milos Raonic

Good to see that normal service has been resumed - 72% 1st serves in, 19 aces.

The more important stat is winning 89% of those, and winning 67% of his 2nd serve PTS.

Re: Milos Raonic

Nice serving in the TB as well, 4 serves, 4 aces.

I have noticed that his first serve % always seems lower on clay and vs really good returners, so maybe he goes for it a little too much against these players? And man could he have used his wide slice serve vs Monaco, that was the open spot with where Monaco was returning and Milos kept missing that serve.

I notice that too. It's one of the mental thing that Milos need to work on.

Or maybe he's more nervous vs. them.

Re: Milos Raonic

I have a feeling Milos isn't going to be able to play today. It's 6pm in London and there's still a match that hasn't started ahead of him...

Re: Milos Raonic

Looks like Milos' match has started, but on a non-TV court, #7. Sucks not to see him, but better than being a full day behind.

Re: Milos Raonic

Won all 16 points on first serve, dropped just 2 on second serve, 11 aces to no DFs. Not a bad first set in the tournament.
