Yes, it is time for this thread to make a strong comeback after suffering in the hands of a rabid Fedtard and sworn Nadal hater rolleyes for months.
as it is time for Rafito hearts: :kiss to make his strong comeback after suffering from serious injuries for so many many months sobbing.
According to the information available at this point, Rafa is competing in Vina del Mar next week. His first match will be on Wednesday February 6th at 6pm local time* :bigclap:
*11pm for us Andreea and Maria (the rest of you can figure it out yourselves )
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
That is cool indeed, Hilde. My nephews are flying to Germany this week to participate in another BMX race. They had two competitions here in Riga this weekend and got 1st/3rd and 3rd/2nd places respectively. Traveling to Belgium later in the summer is also still in the plans.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Do their parents travel with them or are they accompanied by somebody else?

On a different topic: you know who I think looks mighty fine?
Jim Caviezel.
:inlove:
He's currently in the tv-series "Person of Interest". I find that show too predictable to be really good but Jim looks fine in it so I'm still watching.
Both parents went with them to the Czech Republic but only the dad is flying with them to Germany. I don't think they would entrust the twins to somebody else, they can be a bit difficult to manage. Competing in a foreign country is stressful enough, I don't know how they would do without their dad. Also he's the one who manages the bikes and other equipment.

Yeah, they're pretty much at the top in Latvia so they have to go abroad if they want to improve.
Hilde watching TV shows. What other shows are you watching? Have you seen POI's season 2 episode 9 (C.O.D.) involving Estonian mafia? I was literally lauging out loud. :superlol:
That's fine but make sure you do watch the 100th episode (and don't read any spoilers). It's the one where Castle has a broken leg and can't go to the precinct so he finds other ways to amuse himself :chuckle: The ending is awesome.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Wow, your nephews are doing really well Evita!

I'm sorry to inform Evita that I've neglected Castle, only watched like 6 or 7 episodes of season 5. I finished watching House M.D. though.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
The POI show is still in season 1 over here.
A couple of years ago, a jewelry store in the Brussels area was robbed with deadly consequences and this involved the Estonian mafia for real. First time I heard of that mafia but apparently, they do have a bit of a reputation.
I'm currently slowly catching up with the Danish tv series The Killing (on DVD). I'm in season 2.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Oh Hilde, in the 1990ies here there were mafia killings galore. Mostly Russian-speaking groups but also some Estonian ones. And those criminals robbing in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Belgium.... And there were also some hackers (also Russian-speaking though) convicted in the States. Of what I know the Estonian mafia was used in a movie Playing God with David Duchovny. I said it's a fun move by the Hollywood writers, I wonder if any of the US spctators had ever heard of Estonia but well, maybe Im wrong.
P.S. I recently watched a horrible bad movie made in Hollywood by an Estonian guy.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
I'm all sucked in GoT
already saw each episode twice, read all the wiki files regarding the series, watched countless of YT clips with the most :awww: :inlove: scenes and....I intend to read the books

Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
I wish I was as dedicated fan as Andreea.
And I think all the guys that have made it to the top of tennis deserve respect, I simply like some guys more than others, maybe only a few I dislike but even that's too strong of a word. Hope I can enjoy some Rome this week.
Btw Eurovision tonight, I miss our AJ, I hope he's doing well, he never even aswered me about where he moved.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
I read the first two GoF books before I saw the first season of GoF.
Perhaps that's why I'm not really impressed by the tv series. It's often difficult to beat the book version. (not that the books will go on my list of favorite books but it's still better than the series). I think that the tv series opts too much for the gratuitous scenes with not enough decent story telling to back it up. Perhaps Andreea will have better luck reading the books after she has seen the tv series. It doesn't work the other way round.
Yesterday evening, I saw the new tv series The Fall (it's a 5-parts series, I believe). The serial killer is played by a former Calvin Klein underwear model, the detective is played by Gillian Anderson (it's good to see her back on tv). Quality combination, that.

On GM, Borg is quoted as having said something rather flattering of Nadal. Of course, this is reason to bash the hell out of the Swede, because after all, what does Borg know about tennis that the MTF experts in GM don't know, right?
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Geee Borg bashing on MTF, those MTF experts sure are superior to him.
But now that's a man that looks even better than in his youth. No offence Hilde the McEnroe fan but I felt so sorry for Borg losing that Wimbledon final 1981, I was just a kid but those are my first tennis memories, watching Wimbledon together with my dad since 1979. :awww:
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
 I was watching those finals with my dad as well.
That victory by McEnroe against Borg brings back happy memories.
I started watching tennis the year before when I was on my way out to go and play when I saw my dad being all excited over a tennis match. So, I sat down next to him to find out what the hoopla was. It didn't take me long to pick a side and so, I was left very disappointed when JMac had lost against Borg.
My dad: "don't worry, McEnroe will win Wimbledon next year"
Me: " :awww: You're just saying that to make me feel better :awww:"
My dad: "No, I mean it. I'm convinced that he's going to win it next year based on what I've seen this match".

The inconsistency in MTF moderating, what else is new, although it's reached new lows as well I suppose. I haven't even read the appeal mod thread. I mush prefer to stay here at Rafa's.
I cannot believe Mike had such haters who reported him continuously, of course he gave them enough fodder.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Talking about moderating on MTF for a moment. I don't think anything constructive is going to happen.
Having seen some of the posts that go unpunished while other posts in the same style lead to a warning or ban is ludicrous.
I think that moderators depend too much on reports. If enough people report a poster often enough, that poster will get banned, regardless of the contents of the posts. I'm convinced of that.
It's moderating by numbers.
The entire procedure to pick an appeal moderator is dodgy at best.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Hey Peta I already watched the season finale today before work and honestly I'm not sure how I feel about it. The episode itself was good but the cliffhanger... I think it's the wrong answer in this situation. I'm hoping the next season premiere will agree with me.

Suits has been off for way too long :awww: But coming back in July
I am watching SO many damn TV shows these days but White Collar is one that I am not
Castle was renewed last week for one more season (not that I was worried about it, the ratings are good enough), but I haven't heard anything about 2 seasons. Only the biggest rating hits like The Big Bang Theory or Lost are sometimes renewed for more than one season.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
I'm still very devastated, and (depressed - tennis wise, not real life) by the Maria loss in Madrid, but hoping that the Egg will rot early on will make me feel better.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Hi Abel! I'm quite OK.
Finished watching the Eurovision Song Contest, no need for you to know what it is.
Me & Hilde in the final! But WTF was that - no Balkan country into the final but all ex-Soviets?!!??!! :counfused:  And Montenegro or Croatia weren't that bad this time. Btw I liked Lithuania.

Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Quite a surprise that Belgium is through, given the bad reviews the song had gotten. Perhaps it's due to the fact that most of the singers were female (nearly all with a classic pale dress on) and so, the male singers tend to stick out?
I'm glad that Anouk is through for The Netherlands. Anouk is a class act.
Did you see the song for Serbia (last one?). That had a huge WTF percentage, didn't it? I mean, the outfits were, I assume, supposed to be fun and cheeky, but they were badly designed in the sense that it just didn't have the right cut for the girls wearing it.
Can't remember the song from Montenegro but I do remember Croatia. A group of good male singers but I think that they ruined it by attaching a crappy cheap-sounding beat to it. It sounded like one of those beats you can hear when you push a certain button on toy synthesizers.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Hilde!
Estonian song wasn't rated high either and our girl actually didn't belive she'd get to the final. They were all very happy, and I think our girl has a great voice, well the ballad is ... a ballad. Not gonna comment on the dress, our stylist is horrible! I'm sure Andreea would have more input on the dresses.
Montenegro, LOL look at the video, those were the rap guys, space cowboys or whatever, I found it hilarious.
Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: It's comeback time baby!!! :rocker2:
Oh right, the space rappers.
Only in eurosong.
That's why people watch really. Just to see just how daft the acts will be.
Estonia had a very classic eurovision song (old style eurosong) and I liked that she's singing in her own language but I have to agree. The dress is
I just read that the outfits for the Serbian singers were designed by somebody who also designs for Lady Gaga. I'm assuming that he was drunk while making the outfits for eurosong.
