Re: Ivan Dodig

Brilliant, didn't expect him so high in ranks so soon. He doesn't have tons of points to defend till end of year so he can keep or even improve it a little.

This of course opens up seeded places at atp's 250 and avoiding top players at big tournaments in first rounds, making it easier to rake up points.

Fan list: Cilic, Federer, Coric

P.S. Watch out for Donna Vekic and Borna Coric, 2020. Hopman cup winners. - posted in 2011, let's see if it happens

Re: Ivan Dodig

Dodig beats Baggy 7:6-6:1!

Great victory and Dodig is going for his second ATP tournament victory. Now it`s Tursunov or Mallisse so he should be able to beat anyone of them! GO IVANNNNN

Re: Ivan Dodig

Excellent week for Ivan, taking this opportunity with both hands. Good luck in the final and edging closer to the top 30.

Here's a little something I wrote about Dodig and his rise to the top 50 if anyone is interested :

Re: Ivan Dodig

Tomorrow, Ivan will get his new CH ranking: #32

If he plays OK the rest of this year he has an excellent chance of being seeded at the AO. He's defending 167 points, which isn't too many compared to the few guys ranked higher and the few ranked lower than him.

Re: Ivan Dodig

Is this some kind of joke, no one made a post for 9 months in a top50 player's thread. WTF ? Does he have another thread somewhere else ?

Nice comeback in doubles after being 2 sets down
Next round against the winner of James Blake (USA) /Jurgen Melzer (AUT) - Juan-Sebastian Cabal (COL)/Robert Farah (COL). Not easy but winnable.

Didn't think he had it in him after that crappy display earlier today. He looked spent completely spent in the last 2 sets against Ferru.

In memoriam MEGAUPLOAD forever in my heart. Sic Semper Tyrannis !!!

Re: Ivan Dodig

Excellent Wimbledon for Ivan. He moved up to 37 in singles (from 49) and to 20 in doubles (from 35).

In the near term, he has an excellent chance to move up the singles rankings. He's defending only 158 points (15% of his total) in the next three and a half months (through late October).

I wish that Umag, after over 20 years with the ATP, would get scheduled just before RG...

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world
