Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Brydan now into he is third future final in a row and his sixth for the season. Hopefully he can pull this one out. Next week he'll play in New Zealand and finish the year with the future in Bendigo. Brydan may actually be a tough competitor in the WC playoffs seeing as he is in some good form now.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Third consecutive futures final loss for Brydan and all to different opponents. This week in Wellington Brydan will once again be the number one seed and the only players who would seem to get in Brydan's way will probably be Rieschick (number 2 seed) again, Michael Venus(3rd seed) and perhaps to a lesser extent Sam Groth.

Although Brydan isn't winning these tournaments he is being very consistent lately and that is exactly what he wants coming into the Aussie summer. His ranking isn't really an issue at this point because being ranked 225 and being ranked 195 doesn't have a huge difference at all. It will be interesting to see if Brydan can make a forth consecutive final this week which is definitely do-able given the field and Brydan most likely being fired up again after losing a final once again.

Brydan will then take the week of Trarlgon off and prepare for the final Aussie future of the year in Bendigo. In Bendigo he will be joined by a strong field that includes Lindahl, Lemke, Klec, Rieschick, Venus, Groth, Ebelthite, Chvojka and Udomchoke. I doubt Brydan will have a chance at winning that one but should be a good test seeing as he will most likely be the number one seed again.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Brydan got a good win over Groth in semis 6-1 7-5. Now his forth consecutive final, Rieschick again and will be tough for Klein to win this one.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Lost to Rieschick again 7-5 6-3. A week off now for Brydan before playing Bendigo in preparation for the WC playoffs. Four consecutive finals in any type of tournament is extremely impressive and if he keeps up this form he will be back to where he was last year in no time and be a very hard player to beat.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Bryden made the cut-off for the qualifying at Brisbane but went down 1st round to Crugnola in 3 sets, after winning the first set

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Klein is playing in the Bath Challenger in England this week. First up match-up is against Andrej Martin from the Slovak Republic. Not the worst draw but Klein lost to Martin 36 26 in the Sarajevo Chalanger two weeks ago. Let's hope Klein can to turn things around and get a win this week. He will no doubt be down on confidence as he has not had a good start to the year with only 1 win out of 10 matches.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Klein does not improve on his previous match against Andrej Martin and goes down again 62 63 to the Slovakian. In a quirk of draw fate he is scheduled to play against Martin in the 1st round of the doubles!

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Klein has gone unoticed this week. Top seed in a Turkey futures tournment and is through to the semi finals. Takes on the number 8 seed Gojowczyk who is ranked 429 in the world. Really hope he can get through to the final.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Klein played qualifying for a Challenger tournment on clay this week dont know why he didnt go to Nottingham. Anyway he won his first round of quallies 6-4 6-1 and then lost in straight sets the second round. Should be on the grass not clay.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Agree, Grass is Klein's surface. Should have played Nottingham qualies. Could be to do with funding (cost of travel, accommodation) or he may have thought he was not going to make the cut. Strange
