Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Men's Singles SF: (1) Brydan Klein (WA) d Myles Blake (GBR) 6-3 6-4

Klein finally gets a straight sets win and plays Dane Propoggia (his doubles partner) in the final. I really hope for his sake that he said 'far out' and nothing as bad as last year.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

So Klein gets a heap of points in one fortnight for beating players ranked at least 300 spots under him. Hopefully he builds on this success.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Back to back future titles isn't easy anywhere but also winning the doubles events at both futures as well makes it that much more impressive. Brydan is not in the Busan draw so he must have pulled out which is probably a good thing, he deserves a rest. The week after this week he is gonna play in a Uzebeki challenger so hopefully he can make a run there. I wonder if he will play any more futures from now onwards, his ranking will be around 280 after next week so perhaps he will just play challengers.

Either way good luck Brydan, you still have lots of time before you need to get back to where you were this time last year.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Very true with the rest, he has played 18 matches in 14 days thats alot of tennis well deserved rest. I was really looking foward to seeing what he could do in Korea but good luck where he plays next.

Can't wait to see him at Wimbledon and Us Open and see his results there so good luck mate.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Brydan withdrew from Fergana. It appears as though he won't play again until the grass court season beginning with the Nottingham Challenger in two and a half weeks.

Klein lost to Fritz Wolmarans in qualifying at Winnetka Challenger. Needs to regain his confidence and form.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Playing in the ATP Newport qualies, Klein lost a close match in the 1st round, on grass. One of six Australians to lose in the first round: Kelly, Marinko, Jones, Reid, Klein and Kerr. Why do they keep saying Australian are good on grass? They never train on the stuff - perhaps only Klein played regularly on grass when he was a developing player.

Re: Brydan Klein: Australia's Big Hope

Wins his second round match and will now face fellow Aussie Carsten Ball for a place in the semis. Should Brydan win this match he will get a Secured Entry into the main draw of the challenger in Lexington next week and will also re-enter the top 300. Positive signs for Brydan and hopefully he continues this sort of form for the rest of the year. Also nice to see Brydan finally win some matches at a challenger level again.

I know you get ragged on for it a lot, but I love your ranking updates!
