Neil Bamford

Neil seems to have made a big breakthrough at this Satellite.

He is already guaranteed 6 ATP entry Ranking points which will take him to around 1000.

Loking at his history, he is 22 but has only played 3 tournaments in 2001 and 1 in 2003. Does anybody know anything about him or what he has been doing recently?

Re: Neil Bamford

Neil coaches at my club, David Lloyd in Bushey (Hertfordshire).

He's a good player, but good players aren't necessarily good coaches by any means!

No never played him, but seen him play a good few times. He obviously looks pretty good.

Not sure if he's sponsered... don't think so

Re: Neil Bamford

Neil is sponsored by my wife's company www.lusarte.com in return he coaches my son and my wife and hits regularly with me when he is back home. His talent is without question, it is just a matter of confidence, increased fitness and getting him more sponsorship so he can travel more and play in more ranking tournaments.

Oooh I just saw this thread, he used to coach me so I know a bit about him.

He tried to go pro a few years ago, but wasn't making enough money out of it so he turned to coaching. Towards the end of last year he decided to try go pro again, and he's doing ok this year by the looks of it.

He's got a decent all round game, but I wouldn't say any of his shots are incredible. I doubt he can go that high, but I hope I'm wrong.
