Re: Re: The Rainer Schuettler Cheering Thread

I am very worried about Rainer. He lost a second consecutive match! This time he lost 6-4, 6-4 to Johannson!!

They won against Hanley and Arthurs, a very good doubles team. Hopefully, the success in doubles will give Rainer a little bit more match practice and confidence.

It´s quite an honour for Rainer to play the first match in Rod-Laver-Arena. I hope he can live up to it!

Re: The Rainer Schuettler Cheering Thread

After his first-round-loss Rainer swore he would not touch a racket for the next days. But today he played doubles with Kiefer and they won. Maybe he can find some consolation in that. But next opponents are Knowles/Nestor, so it´s likely he can have a pause after that.

Rainer plays doubles because he promised Kiefer and he's such a gentleman.

Talking

At last! It's been too long, let's hope he goes far.

My German guys are like the cast of the Wizard of Oz:

Rainer = Lion
Kiwi = Scarecrow
Tommy = Tin Man
Flo = Dorothy

...but I still love 'em
