Stephan Hoiss

Local guy from Munich will play final QR today against Kubot at his home town event.

He deserves the thread here after beating Podlipnik-Castillo with a sick perfomance and as a big dog.

Not a big surprise tbh because i know what he is able to play and i am sure he would be Top 400-500 if he would play regulary on ITF/CH level. He has a big serve and a decent game with a good forehand.

RIP HENRY.

Re: Stephan Hoiss

Thanks for the info. Out of curiosity, I checked a bit the guy, and as you said he doesnt seem to play regulary. My question is WHY?

Re: Stephan Hoiss

He played a lot of club tennis in 2011 and 2012. Maybe money is another reason why he didn't play on the ITF circuit regulary. He tried some Challenger Qualies last year but failed. But he isn't too young anymore so i don't think he will get a lot of support. I don't think things will change this summer, guess he will play club tennis.
He is playing for MTTC Iphitos Munich with guys like Alund, Vanni, Waske (last year) and some other players. BMW Open are held at the club so it was a big home advantage.

RIP HENRY.
