Re: Philipp Petzschner

Bad loss in doubles.

Too bad he doesn't play in the heat against Djokovic.

Re: Philipp Petzschner

Expected to be out for 6-8 weeks. I hope he can play 1-2 events in November at least. The only good thing is that the Masters Cup shouldn't be in danger.

There will be an interview in the new BUNTE on 23rd September. I guess mainly about his wedding.

Re: Philipp Petzschner

Shouldn't be a problem according to Melzer.

No direct Melzer/Petzschner commitment in Basel and Paris, however he did commit to Paris qualifying and is still on the Basel list. So I guess he is not far from a comeback.

Re: Philipp Petzschner

He got surgery after a wisdom tooth inflammation yesterday and isn't allowed to play for about one week. The ankle on the other hand is back in shape according to Melzer.

I still hope they sign up and maybe get a Wednesday start.

Re: Philipp Petzschner

That's good to hear, he is recovering.

Is he defiantly playing the WTF?

Re: Philipp Petzschner

10/11/10

The foot injury that has sidelined Philipp since the US Open in September won't prevent him from playing at the ATP Finals later this month.

Philipp will fly to Vienna next week as he needs one week of full training with his doubles partner, Juergen Melzer, to be ready for the London event which begins on November 21st.

"I'm very excited with my first appearance at the ATP World Tour Finals in London," Philipp said. "I hope to have a big end of the 2010 season."

After the London event and before preparations for the new season, Philipp and his wife will go on honeymoon in the Mauritius.

Re: Philipp Petzschner

Sounds good. Hopefully he'll be fit enough to play at a half decent level.

Petzschner/Peya in Brisbane. Nice to see them again. Melzer only starts the year in Melbourne.

A blogger profile has been created for him on tennisnet.com, so I guess we can expect to read some blog entries from him soon.

Re: Philipp Petzschner

He won two German tennis awards 2010 this week. One for the best male player and one for the match of the year (vs Nadal in Wimbledon).
