Re: Alexander Waske

Congrats Waske! 7-6(7) 7-6(6) against Bracciali and the next one is probably the biggest chance he'll ever get to make the SF against Goldstein (Mergea).

Niiiiiiiice, he has beaten Bracciali in two tough tiebreakers. It's not so easy, even Karlovic lost to him and Roddick needed five sets. Good to see that he was making it through

Except that Waske couldn't even qualify for Wimbledon, it looks a bit like as if he would take Popp's place in the grasscourt tournaments this year, making a few headlines in Halle and Newport

I personally think Karlovic is way overrated... So I'm not that surprised Bracciali beat him at Wimbledon...

Brilliant win over the Italian, Alexi! Hopefully he can keep up the good work. Newport is a tournament Alex can win! Now with Dent also out of the tourney, the only relatively high ranked player out there is Spadea. But that's definitely one to beat for our friend from Frankfurt!

Auf geht's!

Re: Alexander Waske

From what I've read on GM, it looks like RosaLuxemburg won't become a new fan of Alex since watching him in Newport

Re: Alexander Waske

Waske should have some spanking if he behaved exactly like RosaLexemburg said.

And Alfonso will definitely volunteer to perform such a difficult task

Well, RosaLuxemburg won't be seeing Waske in singles as he lost to Goldstein in 3 sets 6-3 3-6 6-7

Re: Alexander Waske

too bad, 7-6(5) in the third set this time after surviving two tiebreaks against Bracciali before... that was one hell of a chance for him to make the semifinal or even more in singles

Re: Alexander Waske

Too bad he lost. but he did great IMO. 7-6 in the third, that's extremely close to winning! Still, if he had ever had a chance of winning a tournament it would have been this one!

And about RosaLuxemburg's Hall of Shame thread on Alex... She just doesn't understand sports I guess... In the 'heat of the game' all players can do things like these. Even the players she likes!

Good luck to ...

Hey fellow Alex-fans! Our friend's playing Haehnel in the first round of the Mercedes Cup! Auf geht's! I'd really like to see him play Acasuso in the next round!
