Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Florian plays this week in Munich. He plays a qualifier in first round and may face top seed David Nalbandian in the second round. Hopefully he can play well with some home support

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Horna def. Mayer 4-6 6-3 7-5

OMG, another bad 1st round for Florian.... he just can't seem to get things going...
he lost it after he was in better position... he was down a break in the third set, got a re-break, then he was even having two match points on Horna's serve. These match points were saved and he lost his own serve and he lost the set 7-5.

What's going on? Come on!!!!

Please get some wins soon!

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Florian plays against Ancic first on the centre court in Hamburg tomorrow. He had a good run here last year so hopefully he can find some form and win this match.

yeah, he really seems to be in a slump

My German guys are like the cast of the Wizard of Oz:

Rainer = Lion
Kiwi = Scarecrow
Tommy = Tin Man
Flo = Dorothy

...but I still love 'em

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Well done, Flo!! I was following the internet scoreboard at work and when I left he was a break down in the second set and I thought it was all over. Then I check the teletext when I get home to see he won. What a great result, hopefully it will give him a bit of confidence for next week

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Back on the grass, Florian plays tomorrow 1R in Halle against Youzhny. Hopefully Florian can find last year's Wimbledon form on grass here in Halle. He needs some wins badly.

Good luck Florian

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Well done for Florian!

He has taken revenge on Youzhny and won 6-4 7-6(4)

He was very happy after the match (he was close to choke in the 2nd set and had set points against him after he had chances to a double break earlier and couldn't take them).

Florian plays Santiago Ventura at Wimbledon tomorrow. He is defending a lot of points from last year. One match at a time Florian

Well done, good to see that he kept his head together and that Verdasco was the bigger headcase today

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Good win Florian
Ferrero is one of my favourite players but if Florian wins I will be happy for him too. I just hope it's a great match.
