Flo , seems like an strong end of the season for him ( SF in Metz, R3 or better in Shanghai). He's serving well this week, 83% won on 1st serve, and just broken once. I think he has big chance vs Ferrer, the court suits him, and Ferrer is playing quite bad ATM. C'mon Flo!
Flo , really good week beating Paire and Ferrer in straights ( 1st Top-10 win this season for him IIRC). He will be around #40 in the RACE, I think this result practically ensures him to end the season in the Top-50 again, and why not higher.
Benoît Paire, Edouard Roger-Vasselin,Nicolas Mahut, Jeremy Chardy, Aljaz Bedene, Florian Mayer, Tommy Robredo, Evgeny Korolev, Albert Ramos, Guillaume Rufin
Good start of the season in Doha- he beated Przsiezny on a 3rd set TB on R1 and he got his 3rd ever Top-4 win [ 1st vs Nadal on Shanghai 11', 2nd vs Ferrer on Shanghai 13'] vs Andy today . He was 6-3 3-0 down, but come back playing inspiring stuff. It was clear that Andy wasn't at his best, but Flo played great.
After one of his best season begginings with a 6-3 record with a SF in Doha and a great R4 showing in Australia ( he was close of being two sets to love up on Ferrer) he now plays the Davis Cup. He plays the second rubber vs Lopez, really don't know what to expect, he's playing well and the surface suits him, but Feli is very dangerous when on and can play great on DC ( he beated Delpo and Fish away).
Incredible win yesterday over Lopez- 76 76 16 57 63 in nearly 4 hours. Both were playing their best and it was a really fun match with lots of slices, net play, changes of pace, S&V ...
Germany has won the tie 3-0 and so they advance to the QF's, where they will play France away. I hope Flo keeps playing like he is now because then he will definitely will have a shot of getting back into Top-20.
