Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Well done, Mayer so far!

I'm glad that he could beat Gonzalez or else I would have been a little mad at him that he has beaten Kiefer and then couldn't win another match to go even further

He's due for a good run, lets beat Dent and make some positive headlines!

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Florian lost to Dent
but it was good tournament for him
and this give him few days to prepare for the clay-event in Casablanca he will play next week
i think he will be seeded there

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

ESPN showed the replay of the Dent-Mayer match yesterday (I won't get into why the did not show it live). I really enjoyed watching Mayer hit his big looping forehand and different drop shots. I'm definitely going to keep watching him.

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

I did, I'll try to catch him playing live at the US Open this year. The one thing I don't really understand is how did he make his big run at Wimbledon, and not at Roland Garros? It seems like that big forehand would take too long to set up on grass.

he has a great serve too
and he is so unpredictable - most likely thats the reason
and he was a bit lucky with the draw too but you need luck to go far in a GS.

today he won in casablanca 6:2 6:1 against Uhlirach
great scoreline, hopefully he can at least reach the quarterfinal

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

so - last wekk Florian lost to Monaco 6:7 0:6
monaco reached the Final - so we can call it a bad draw

today he will play Julienne Benneteau at MonteCarlo
he should win this match - i hope so

Re: Florian Mayer Cheering Thread

Florian is up 6:3 2:3
but his breakpoint conversion is horrible 3/12 = 25%
but as long he wins
