Re: Marco Chiudinelli

Hey there,
I looked him up a little bit and I was sorry to read he was injured for 10 months or so. How sad
He played pretty good in the 3rd set last night. I hope he makes it to top 100 soon.

Re: Marco Chiudinelli

I'm very proud of Marco too. He fought well, especially in the third set, and was able to hang in some tough rallies and pull of some great shots. It was brilliant to see him play for his country

Here is his post-match interview (audio), if anyone's interested:

Re: Marco Chiudinelli

So he lost the dead rubber 6-4 7-6 (6) to Blake but it was still an entertaining contest, particularly the 2nd set, even if it didn't really count for anything.

Marco. I really hoped he could take that match into a 3rd set. I have really enjoyed seeing him play again though (I haven't sen him in such a long time because of all the injuries), it's so nice to see him him fit and healthy. I'm sure that he can live with these higher ranked guys in the future. Go Marco.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: Marco Chiudinelli

I really enjoyed the match, but that was mostly thanks to the commentator pronouncing his name in the most impossible ways. Sometimes I simply couldn't stop laughing and missed the next point due to that. I enjoyed the 2nd set though, Great fight he showed and great game. Go on like that Marco (just win next time!)
