Marc

Despeit not playing much this year he shows once again a great performance in Moscow.

Don't know why but he seams always to play really good there and it looks like the public likes him there as well.

Keep going Marc. Good luck against Dent today!!

Re: Marc

It's great he beat the little crybaby Coria and he does play well in Marseille. It will be tough for him to beat Björkman, but he really needs to serve very very well.

Re: Marc

The 33-year-old Swiss Davis Cup captain, who had to qualify for the $US600,000 tournament, celebrated his 25th match victory at an event he won in 1993, 1994 and 2000.

The 1992 Olympic champion, now ranked 122nd in the world, took full advantage of the Argentine clay-court specialist's discomfort on the indoor hard court.

"I was really keen to meet him as it was the first time. You don't meet top 10 guys in Challengers these days," Rosset said of fourth-ranked Coria, who won his seventh career title in Buenos Aires last weekend.

"The fact that he was returning from playing on clay helped for sure but I took lots of risks on his serve and it paid off."

"I had been looking for moments like this for some time," added Rosset, who is now semi-retired.

"It's hard at my age to keep the motivation."

"But I have great fun in the tournaments I enjoy. That's the case in France and especially in Marseille, a town in which I haven't lost many matches.

"They should make me an honorary citizen," he said.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Marc

I read in www.sfdrs.ch a headline that Marc ends his tennis career, but, when I click on it, it leads to another not related article... Is this true, does he retire or has he already?

Roger, Chiudi, Stan the Man, Michi, Timea, Swiss guys and girls

good luck RF!!

Re: Marc

He hasn't retired already He said he will contact the Basel's Director to get a wildcard for this October and play in doubles with another Swiss to end his career on the pitch and not by being fired by Swiss Tennis

Roger "15 Grand Slams" Federer

Novak Djokovic | Lleyton Hewitt | Fernando Verdasco

Nathy you are right about this post made in early August. He will be entering doubles with Stan in Basel.

Is it official that Marc is retiring after Basel??
