more pics today from Lausanne. The 'Blues Brothers" provided additional music in the stadium but you could hardly hear them because of the massive noise.

Re: Swiss Davis Cup Team

Thanks for the pics Mrs. B......that stadium is certainly packed out! Pity about the doubles loss today..but it was a big ask of Roger and Yves. Hope they're able to keep their heads up and play some great tennis tomorrow.

why do you say this? did he say sth to indicate that? Rogi doesn't behave like that when he loses...

Re: Swiss Davis Cup Team

he just CANT lose. when he wins he's happy, when he loses he's angry, disappointed, nobody can talk to him. i think agassi makes it great, he's acting the same, when he loses or when he wins. of course you can be disappointed after losing, but you dont have to go hiding and crying just because you lost!

How did you know it? You tried to talk to him after he lost the double?

the fact that you bring up Agassi as a gracious loser is astonishing. Yes he has improved since his younger days when he was a outright sore loser but even a few months ago he did not react all to well when beaten by Mardy Fish

If to any extent what you said is what you witnessed, I'm glad he actually just go hide and cry by his own instead of behaving like a jerk to his opponents or take it out on the ball kids, linesman, umpires etc. On the other hand, I had seen pictures of Rogi in this DC matches, I must say I didn't even see him being so pumped up when winning his 2nd slam in AO. So I won't be surprise if he's extremely disappointed with himself for losing that double. You're almost right, he and his partner JUST CAN'T LOSE that double match.

WyverN is right too, you probably didn't watch Agassi match vs Fish lately.

Re: Swiss Davis Cup Team

I was at Lausanne during these 3 days and after the loss in the double Roger really was disappointed because he suddenly left the court without giving any interview after the match - Yves Allegro had to answer the questions...

.. i think because they played at home they really wanted to show their best tennis and win this double - but unfortunately the luck wasn't on the swiss side at the important points... it wasn't meant to be...

In an interview in a swiss newspaper he said that he was really disappointed because he couldn't play as amazing as he wanted to!! He did mistakes at the important points and that hurts...

His reaction shows that the DC is very important to him and that he's always trying to do his best - otherwise he wouldn't react like that..
