Re: 2013 Individial Championship Tournament

Frank upset by Andreas Mies of Auburn 4-6 6-0 6-2. Mies played a splendid 2nd and 3rd set. Used a ton of variety, slice and multiple drop shots as well as coming to net.

Jenkins is still in it. He has a chance to go deep, especially if Andrews takes out Sarmiento.

Re: 2013 Individial Championship Tournament

Round of 16 results today so far:

Andreas Mies (Auburn) def Yannick Hanfmann (USC) 6-3 6-2
After beating Frank, Mies is feeling it now. He has great variety and it looks like he has finally controlled it in this tournament.

Sebastian Fanselow (Pepperdine) def Peter Kobelt (Ohio State) 6-4 6-2
Fanselow was to solid from the ground for Kobelt. Kobelt's big serve did not seem to bother Fanselow much.

Jarmere Jenkins (Virginia) def Ray Sarmiento (USC) 7-6(8) 2-6 6-4
Match of the day. Jenkins faced two break points at 4-4 in the 3rd but came up with some great volleys to save them. Two players hugged at the net after the match, good sportsmanship shown.

Soren Hess-Olsen (Texas) def Marcos Giron (UCLA) 3-6 6-3 6-2
Giron's hot run ends here. Hess-Olesen is making a surprising run here.

Blaz Rola (Ohio State) def Tsvetan Mihov (South Carolina) 6-3 6-2
Rola probably the best player in this field and he is playing very well.

Henrique Cunha (Duke) def Kyle McMorrow (Washington) 6-1 6-0
Cunha has only lost 2 games in the last two matches. Sets up a blockbuster match with Rola in the next round.

Re: 2013 Individial Championship Tournament

last two matches of the day finished:

Evan King (Michigan) def Andre Dome (Cal Poly) 6-3 6-4
King has only dropped 15 games in 3 matches here.

Japie de Klerk (Tulsa) def Alex Sarkissian (Pepperdine) 7-6(0) 6-7(3) 6-2
Sarkissian's cinderella run ends(was the 4th alternate, only got in due to a few withdrawals). de Klerk has found his game here.
