2 Virginia def 15 Texas 7-0

On the same night USC makes a strong statement, UVA responds with a impressive win of their own. Texas is not as good as they have been in year's past. But this is still a good way to start the uear for UVA.

Doubles were swept by UVA 8-3, 8-1 and 8-4

Singles:

1: 11 Jarmere Jenkins def Soren Hess-Olesen 6-2 6-2
2: Alex Domijan def 112 Daniel Whitehead 6-2 6-1
3: 1 Mitchell Frank def Sudanwa Sitaram 6-2 3-6 (10-3) - Good playing from Sitaram. So odd to see the #1 ranked player playing at position 3 for a team.
4: Drew Courtney def Lloyd Glasspool 3-6 7-6(3) 7-6(6)
5: 57 Justin Shane def Chris Camillone 6-4 6-4
6: Philippe Oudshoorn def Jacoby Lewis 6-3 6-2

interesting that UVA elected to play Oudshoorn at 6 over Uriguen.

Virginia has two more massive matches this weekend. vs 5 Florida on Saturday and vs 11 Texas A&M Sunday.

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson

I really want to see Virginia play USC. Very strong teams.

Virginia went on to dominate Florida and Texas A&M 6-1 each. And the scary thing is, Frank was not in the singles line-up for either match. He was resting after a light abdomen injury
