Re: 2011 Regular Season - #9 Florida d. #7 Baylor 5-2!#5Texas squeaks by #23Michigan

Wow! Whatta match today. I guess we can start having daily "featured" matches. Kentucky had to have a 76 3rd set win at #6 to win on the road against Indiana 4-3. Maybe the Wildcats arent as good as I thought? Or maybe Indiana has some hidden talent.

Re: 2011 Regular Season - #12 Kentucky avoids upset at #44 Indiana with tiebreak deci

Gutsy win from Kentucky. They responded to what they thought would not be such a stringent test.

I forgot to mention that UGA rocked Clemson 7-0. I was dissapointed by the lopsided scorelines

Garrapiz def Difazio 6-2 6-1
Spencer def Galloway 7-5 7-5 (good effort from Galloway)
Bernstein def Meza 6-1 6-1
Doumbia def Moran 6-1 6-2
Pieters def Hilsman 6-0 6-2
Toboada def Maden 4-6 6-3 (10-8) (I wish we had won this one. 6-1 looks a lot better than 7-0).

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson

Im surprised Gomez is playing 4. I think he will move up throughtout the season as he gets used to the hard courts. The Trojans' lineup looks very good though.

#4 Ohio State punds Xavier 7-0 with #63 Buchanan, #7 Rola, and #68 Kobelt at 1-2-3

#22 Wake Forest is facing off against #30 Wisconsin today in Lexington at the ITA's. Tough 1st round draw but the Deacs are favored. The Badgers' 4-6 players are all freshman. #45 Jon Wolff is playing at #1 for Wake, as #87 Tripper Carleton will play 2, sophomore #100 Danny Kreyman at 3, #109 senior Iain Atkinson at 4. Go Deacs.

Re: 2011 Regular Season - Great ITA Regional Mathups this weekend!

The Deacs won the doubles point in a breaker on #2, and I guess they are feeling pretty confident because Tripper got moved out of the lineup and Prabhakar is now playing 6.

Re: 2011 Regular Season - Great ITA Regional Mathups this weekend!

Looks like the Tar Heels have been getting all the breaks. #90 Boyajian at #3 won 46 76 76, which may have provided match points for Georgia Tech.

Jeff, are you surprised that UNC's rank is at #20? They don't seem like a top 20 team although #30 Hernandez did beat Gomez. Carolina's #58 Burkhardt got railed at #4 however by Kevin King. Coming down to #6 where senior Kyle Baker is up a break on #93 Miljevic

Re: 2011 Regular Season - Great ITA Regional Mathups this weekend!

They had a better team last year and that team was borderline top 20. So I expect them to fall in the rankings as the season goes on. But it looks like they are going to pull this one out.
