What the hell - 'El Mago' so-named for his Miraculous unseeded French Open Victory?

Don't want to add any pressure on Guille's burdened shoulders, but there are stranger stories in the history of sport than this vision: Coria comes back from out of nowhere, with no 2007 results, and wins -- unseeded -- the title of Roland Garros!! NOW we truly have an "El Mago" who has earned the honor of his magician name!!

At one level, I am just following a silly impulse.

At another, I know enough about how things fall out in sports history that it could happen. I mean, do you all remember when Verkerk made the final in 2003, beating Guille in the semi? That guy had barely any wins in his whole career, with a game entirely unsuited to clay, and he made a miracle run!! Guillermo has a million times the magic to summon than that tall Neanderthal from Netherlands!!

And you know of Guille's amazing penchant to be smack in the middle of the most unbelieveable forms of jaw-dropping drama. SSSIIIIIII??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As our old friend Willie once quoted from Walt Disney: "It's kind of fun to do the impossible."

"Guille..." "VVAAAMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
