Re: the black magic thread

as I promised, a letter to the Adidas' CEO

Dear Mr Adidas,
we, the undersigned, firmly think that the outfit you designed to mr Guillermo Coria has clearly jinxed him. So, sack Mr Magoo, or the former Las Vegas Casino architect who made that shirt, and do something better. Truly yours, psichogaucho

Re: the black magic thread

what if we won't start a thread with a clever title for the french open? just "roland garros", or maybe, "the french open" -no more. think about it

how about NO THREAD. or a "Coria Fans REFUSE to discuss French Open thread"?? we can gather in the same fashion, but as each match approaches discuss how fat nalbandian is, even if he is now at #3 in the world , or we can discuss what carla WEARS at the matches to show we DID watch the match, but that will be the only clue that we have even paid attention.

Personally, i am just going to sew a doll for each of guille's opponents and burn them the night before. It will be the first time ever that a roland garros champion is made from ALL illness defaults.

Re: the black magic thread

Or maybe Mae should open the French Open thread, she opened the Monte Carlo thread.

But that's a great idea, at least for me. To "let loose" and stop posting all that stuff about Coria. The more I post in his board, the more he sucks anyway – the only time he had a more or less easy win in the past 8 months (against Youzhny), I was not here!

Willie should write again, btw, he brought him luck - didn't he stop posting here during the China Open?

yes, willie gave up on him totally, right after the us open loss to ginepri. he decided around then that gasquet was where it was at, at least if i remember correctly. he came back to coria forums one day after guille made a great comeback in monte carlo, but quickly lost faith again after his loss. but willie's a great guy, i always liked his enthusiasm. i just think he over-associated with guille & couldnt bare guille as 'conflicted champion' -- being 17 or 18, heroes are a strange issue.

but he is still one of my favorite MTFers.

truc, dont even CONSIDER disappearing, we are a dying breed. do you remember when coria had the nandroline case, he said, 'that really separated the real supporters from the bull'? well, this is the time when we learn who cares about coria because of his play, his energy, and his fight versus those who care because he 'wins' when everyone loves a winner.

Re: the black magic thread

No, I didn't want to disappear! Just to post more in a "chatting" and less obsessive way, like you suggested. It would be better for me too.
But that's what we are going to do anyway since our boy takes another break. It would have been easier and quicker to just burn the shirt, but he wants to make it the hard way!

And I second the " no disappearing theme.

Maybe we need a "no disappearing thread.

I seconded this quote too.
I think the ' real' supporters of Coria would definitely continue to supprot him whenever he lost or off the track.

It is disappointing when he lost some matches which he shouldn't lose at all.
But in another way, I think this event and this whole period tested each of us. i mwan the insight us whether we really like Guille because of himself or because his result!!!

So,this year RG is going to be very boring without Guille in the list.

And yeah one more thing, I think he would change the outfit when he comes back ....he should burn it anyway.

Re: the black magic thread

I started liking Guille before he was winning anything -- close to when he came back from his suspension, and it was just thrilling and exciting that he started winning a lot. But, I would have liked him anyway.

I truly hope he comes back strong.
