oh, here are some quotes from RG website. they got many facts wrong, wonder who wrote this piece

last time i checked costa do sauipe was an ATP tournament, too.

it wasn't that bad - he never played on futures level.

actually guille is the one who is leading 3-0

Re: Coria in Roland Garros!

I am pleasantly surprised how the French Open are hyping this and to put it on Chatrier was something I never expected. I was confident it would be on a televised court, but on the big stage when they could just have easily put Federer there or an all French encounter that featured Gasquet?

I have this silly feeling that Coria will win in the same fashion he beat Mathieu and Kiefer in Monte Carlo. I don't know, I just hope it doesn't prove to be a massacre and he does himself justice.

Re: Coria in Roland Garros!

This is frickin insane! For cryin out loud people it's CORIA VS. ROBREDO. Hell Nadal vs. Djokovic @ Hamburg only got THIS much hype on TW This is actually kinda funny; they found a nice picture from RG '04

I am going to bed early to be up at 5am for US television! GO Coria! I love Tommy, but it would be cool for Coria to show that he is back to reclaim his place!

Re: Coria in Roland Garros!

i am definitely going to wake up at 5 am!! but its crazy nutty, right?? i mean....what explains this?! they're putting a guy with a handful of wins since 2006 on the MAIN court. god bless, but coria himself has got to be surprised at this - I dont know if he will like all this added pressure & attention on him, but I do think these couple of good recent matches -- even the pressure of that 7-6 in the 3rd tiebreak -- will 'serve' him well (no pun intended)

well, after waiting this long just to see him do anything, this is as much as we could ask for: center court, roland garros, complete with posters hyping the return of el mago. the dream might as well start here... i hope they didnt give guga's match the same hype; it didnt work for him!

what a day for CORONS!!!

Re: Coria in Roland Garros!

hilarious, i am watching the french open now & mac just started talking about tomorrow's coria match - he said, "tomorrow morning we'll start up with coria....now i am really psyched about seeing him, i gotta say..... i mean, talk about an enigma! but i'd bet robredo is feeling some nerves now."

Really I've been trying to figure it out. Literally everything that happens with Guille is WEIRD. It's almost as if the French are offering some kind of welcoming ceremony which could very well have an adverse effect. At the very least, the only thing I could find to explain this is...respect. But for what? Choking away 2 championship points in his first only gs final? Maybe they just like him and missed the bloke
