Re: Guille in Casablanca

Shit, wide FH, but SO close, he's dismayed, he was in control again.

Re: Guille in Casablanca

DF, the consequence of the last point, he seemed so shocked about that wide FH.

Re: Guille in Casablanca

MTF stopped working for me in the middle of the TB.
He wasn't that bad in the TB, the 2 DF killed him, of course, but he kept attacking. Gicquel played one great passing-shot, the rest was more UE from Guille, but most of them pretty close, he kept going for his shots.

Grrrr, I so wanted my Coria-Simon match!

Re: Guille in Casablanca

Hopefully this is a sign of better things to come. Every 2nd round match gets better. Hopefully it won't take him as long as it did to win a first rounder @.@ But anyway, I really enjoyed seeing him. He doesn't look as deplorable as I thought he would

Re: Guille in Casablanca

Darn, I missed most of the match.
Glad to hear that there were some encouraging things and thanks for the play by play in here.
Was pleased to get to see a little bit of him play anyway and he's getting closer to the 2nd rnd win.
I hate tiebreaks though, grr.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: Guille in Casablanca

so close...but i saw many good things. sometimes even glimpses of his former magic. of course there are so many more things to do, but i believe more and more that he could become a decent player again! hell, he could even win some matches at the french!
