It's a very fun match. Grigor/Marcos giggling their way thru. Esp Grigor. He was jumping around for no reason (too much sugarpova perhaps ) and Marcos was also pumped prob because he knew...

Both served well and played well overall. It kinda confirms that Grigor's R1 exit was purely nerves. No physical disturbance or anything else. Oh and it's very warm on court 39 c.

Good to see him get a win in the doubles. He must be disappointed with his singles' performance but I'm glad he's taking the doubles seriously. These matches are still good experience for him and will benefit him in the future.

Did anyone tape the doubles match? I didn't get a chance to watch and it sounds like it was worth seeing.

On the Australian Open's website there's a short video with some highlights - HERE, but it will be nice if someone upload it on the internet, because I'd like to see it as well after I missed the first half of it

Very good win for Grigor and Marcos.

Did anyone watch the match? Was it televised?

The match was on court 7, so there wasn't live stream.

Re: Grigor " The Great " in 2013 (General thread)

don't worry guys i was there!!

Brisbane Grigor was back!!! it was beautiful to watch and even marcos was at his best too. In the first set they were just a bit overwhelmed by playing such good doubles players, but then in the second they kicked in to gear. they had been doing a lot of doubles drills in practice earlier and then they started to put into play all the things they had been working on, returning low to the feet off the serve etc. grigor pulled off some amazing crosses at the net to finish off points. you could see they were taking it seriously and it really meant a lot to them. at one stage grigor was on the floor for some of the point (he slipped) and he still managed to get back up and win the point. i have lots of photos so will post when i can
