Re: Grigor in Basel

So annoying, hes playing too defensive and letting PHM dictate

Re: Grigor in Basel

PHM is defending amazingly today, that's why he's afraid of attacking. Whatever he gives, comes right back to him.

It's not over yet. Grigor broke back in style! 4-5. Now hold serve.

Re: Grigor in Basel

Ah, lost in 2 tie-break sets! He showed some great fight this evening, just not his best tennis. When a guy like Mathieu hits that consistantly, you know you in for a hard day!

He might sneak into the top 50 for the first time though, so a good year all in all.

Re: Grigor in Basel

Shame he lost but there have been a lot of positives this week and he's always fun to watch. I liked when he got mad when PHM served for the match and really went for his shots. He needed to do that more often. He really needs to work hard on the off-season and come back fitter and stronger. 2013 could be a very good year for him if he does.

Re: Grigor in Basel

The draw is out for Paris. He plays Darcis first.
FOGNINI, Fabio v DASNIERES DE VEIGY, Jonathan
DARCIS, Steve v DIMITROV, Grigor

He's the last match on Court2 so at least he has a little time to recover.

Re: Grigor in Basel

Patrick Mouratoglou gave an interview for the bulgarian media from Istanbul and from his words I guess that the official end of his partnership with Grigor is near. Here is my translation of the 2 questions about that:

Do you already have a plan about your work with Grigor for the next year?
- Not yet. First that year has to end. He has two more tournament and after that we will talk about the future.

- Will you continue to work with him?
- I can't say anything at the moment. We will discuss that when the season is over. For now I don't know.

I think that everything is over for a long time - since he started travelling (and doing some other stuff) with Serena and now they are just waiting for the end of the season to announce it.

But he will still stay in the MTA, won't he?
