Re: Grigor Ranking

All the players around him have more points to defend over the next month than he does so he has a very good chance of rising further.

Re: Grigor Ranking

Yes, I agree. If he plays some Good tournaments until may even Top 24 (no top 8 in the third round ) could be possible

For now he is the fifth seed in Dusseldorf, because they gave a WC to Haas. to move to fourth he has to pass Kohlschreiber, who is #22 right now

He's 328 points behind Kohlschreiber so that's not going to be easy. In terms of his ranking, he also has to worry about Anderson & Youzhny overtaking him as they are still in Madrid.

But he has 90 points to defend this week, so....

Re: Grigor Ranking

Grigor will finish the year at least 23rd in the ranking, constantly improving his Year-End ranking
288 (2009) 106 (2010) 76 (2011) 48 (2012) 23 or better (2013)
And it is extremely unlikely that Grigor will not be a top 24-seed at AO, so no top 8 in the third round

Re: Grigor Ranking

well even if he loses in R1 in Brisbane he will have his 90 points for Washington added so will only lose 60 points.

Re: Grigor Ranking

with Gulbis losing to Nadal yesterday Grigor will remain number 23 in the ranking for sure and therefor will be seeded in this group at AO There are not even theoretical chances of someone getting ahead of him
it seems that even with the Bostaad points added now, he still has a 90 points in reserve from Washington
