Re: Cherbourg Challenger - No 1 seed!!!

I think If he will win in singles they will withdraw from doubles. Grisho plays not before 16.30, for you 17.30. This is the third match on center court, the first match will begin at 13.00(local).

Never ever give up

I don't know, SF is too much to withdraw from doubles. Maybe it depends on how the single match goes. If it is an easy win in 2 sets or a lost, he will push in the doubles but if it is a hard win, maybe will skip the doubles...who knows! If takes both matches would be better because the doubles final is after the singles one on Sunday (if he goes that deep) and this will make winning both titles theoretically possible. Maybe that's why they scheduled both matches in one day tomorrow.

Yeah. Maybe he plays 3 tight set in singles I guess he will withdraw, but 2 sets... and doubles SF.

Never ever give up

Grigor plays against Bohli on the center court from 16:30 CET (17:30 BG time) today. The doubles semifinal should start around 19:30 CET (20:30 BG time).
Good luck as it will be a tough day and a tough match against Bohli!

Re: Cherbourg Challenger - No 1 seed!!!

Pheeeew!
Grigor won 6-7 7-6 6-3. Lost a tie-break finally and looked in trouble, but held strong and proved his character by turning things around. Stats show he faced no break point, but by looking at the livescore I can tell it was tense. He is growing up in such matches as he broke Bohli in the second game of the third set and then held serve four times rock solid!
I don't mind him losing the doubles now as his match was 2:22 hours long.

Great win and good luck tomorrow against his winter break training partner Robert.
