Re: Grigor Dimitrov

The draw for Aachen is out - http://www.atptennis.com/1/posting/2008/824/mds.pdf

Grigor meets Meffert in the first round. The German is 27 years old and is pretty good on fast surfaces. He is 225 in the rankings so he must be a beatable one for Grigor, but he has a semifinal in Aachen in 2005 and a quarterfinal last year. I do not really know the game style of the German, but he looks tall and powerful, though a bit immobile as he weights 94 kg according to ATP. Good luck to Grigor!

Re: Grigor Dimitrov

Meffert is a bad draw, he is a good player with a powerful serve. But his BH is rather weak.

Good luck to Grigor. If he plays on Friday I might go to Aachen

Re: Grigor Dimitrov

Hopefully errors will be reduced with age and experience. I got the impression that he is too impatient especially when a game gets stuck with a lot of deuces and he loses his temper and so the points because of that. Meffert after all is a big guy well suited for indoors and we plays well in Aachen. It is a bad loss, but it is all experience on the higher level. Looking forward to next week!

Re: Grigor Dimitrov

I think grigor should play qualies of challenger and not directly MD with WCs. If you look at other young players they earn their MD spot through qualies and I think it is the best way to improve right now... Only my opinion...

Re: Grigor Dimitrov

The draw for Eckental is available on the Challenger section of the site. Grigor faces 26-years old German Dieter Kindlmann in the first round. Kindlmann looks like an all-court player to me. He has a title on hard courts this year on Challenger level and he has played on all surfaces with relative success this year (http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/player...sp?player=K436). Looks like a beatable opponent, but has more experience on the tour and on carpet than Grigor so let's hope for a nice surprise. Good luck!
