Anyone any ideas...can I just turn up?

It's about 120 miles for me to travel, so I need to be sure that I can get in when I get there!
Absolutely! The centre will be open all week for spectators and appears to be free of charge with the exception of the semi-finals/finals. I am planning on going wednesday/thursday so we might rub shoulders at some point!

Re: Week 45: Loughborough, Great Britain [Entry List]

I see Murray Sr. returned to Challenger tour after Valencia title with brother. Have they any plans to continue next year? It seems thay played together a few years ago, but stoped then.

Sporadically yes but I can't see Andy not prioritising singles - could you see him risking his singles chances at a grand slam with a long run in the doubles? (Rhetorical question really )

And surely if Jamie harbours any ambitions of rejoining the higher echelons of doubles then he has to find a consistent partner who will be fully committed to doubles week on week. Due to Jamie's work ethic (or supposed lack of it) I can't see him finding a regular high-level partner again; playing with Max Mirnyi was a fantastic opportunity that he never really grasped and if anything showed Jamie to be of limited capabilities. I foresee another season of mainly challenger level tennis playing with other Brits, such as Jamie Marray and James Delgado, unless he is able to show other specialists that he is as dedicated and ambitious as they are.

Re: Week 45: Loughborough, Great Britain [Entry List]

Daniel Cox is a local boy here, isn't he?
Expecting him to beat Nielsen. What do you think?

Can the Brits do some damage here? Evans should win his match tomorrow... Baker v Niland is a no call for me

would love to hear some opinions

Re: Week 45: Loughborough, Great Britain [Entry List]

I wouldn't like to call Baker/Niland either. Both are consistent baseliners without any real weapons. The only yard stick here is form, Niland has had an excellent season whilst Baker has stagnated after a promising comeback in 2009. Baker has trained at Loughborough though which may bring with it some advantage.

And as far as I'm aware Cox used to train quite a lot in Loughborough, although I think he has now moved to the national centre in Roehampton. Regarding his game, he's definitely one to look out for. He's consistant, physical and right now should be brimming with confidence- he's coming off a $15k Futures win in Israel where he took out David Goffin in the final. Like you, I fancy an upset here. Nielsen will made to work for this.

Evans is also in form and is a tricky opponent for anyone - he mixes high topspin with slice, never allowing his opponent to get into a rhythm. Aslong as he can stay in control of his emotions he definitely has a chance to have a good run this week. Alternatively he may fall away in R1 - he's that kind of player!

I also think Willis is prime for an upset. He has also trained on these courts and waltzed through qualifying. He is a player that hasn't yet stamped his mark on the senior game and could do with a breakthrough run sometime in the near future. Having familiar courts underneath him may just be the encouragement he needs.

Thank you for extended answer! When I asked I didnt mean any regular brothers activity in doubles, only more often than it was last two years. So, Valencia performance was ocasional financial help from younger brother to senior
