Re: Week 8: Melbourne, Australia

Thanks for updating, Edu.

After the event was TBC they announced it will be held in Melbourne. Following Burnie (Week 6) and a Future in Week 7, I guess the field will be rather weak here, dominated by Aussies and Asian players. At the same time, having this connection means the Future will probably be quite strong.

Your only pissed cause you live in Sydney, and you cannot honestly tell me that Sydney is no more of a shithole than Melbourne. If we are going to put it anywhere put it on the Gold Coast in Queensland, the fastest growing region in Australia has never been exposed to mens tennis past a futures level. Queenslands obviously the future of sport in Australia more specificly South East Queensland.

Re: Week 8: Melbourne, Australia

Why on earth would South East Queensland be considered the future of sport in Australia when Melbourne is widely regarded as the sporting capital of the country (often the world)? Melbournians, in general, like sport and attend sporting events/matches more than any other state.

I'm somehow not expecting him to show up here. He focuses more on US Challengers and I expect him to try his luck in qualies more and more, and this event is rather small anyway. If he does choose to play, he is of course a big favourite.

not true, I was born and raised in Melbourne. I've seen both Victorian and Queenaland tennis and Queensland looks like it has more potential at the moment and needs more exposure to mens profesional tennis.

I'm looking for the game to grow more in all parts of Australia not just Sydney and Melbourne.

It will be held at the Maccabi Club.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
