Lacko can't beat anyone in top 300 on clay, it will be an easy third point for portugal tomorrow when Machado will face Lacko

Seriously, I love Machado, but his mental lapses on Davis Cup are just epic. He is potentially better than Gil, but mentally, he keeps struggling to stay focused while playing Davis Cup. After getting humiliated by Sektic last season, almost losing once again at home to Klizan after being up 2-0 in sets shows that he gets too nervous to be a confident choice to play Davis Cup. Fortunately, Klizan is an inconsistent and inexperienced kid. An experienced player would have beaten Machado in the 5th set, with 3 bps at 4-4. We have Tavares, who is a solid player and deserves to have a shot to play a live rubber. I would make a bold statement and put Tavares in the 4th rubber. If he beats Lacko, that would give him a huge confident boost. If he loses, Gil will 95% sure beat Klizan in the 5th rubber and give us the win anyway.

PORTUGUESE ARMADA!!!

*JOÃO SOUSA* *GASTÃO ELIAS* *FREDERICO GIL* *PEDRO SOUSA* *RUI MACHADO*

I think that Gil/Tavares can beat the slovakian team tomorrow. Why not? They are decent doubles players, playing at home, in their best surface and with no pressure at all.

So, Portugal were lucky on friday. As Mecir said, Gil played over his possibilities and Machado was lucky at all. Of course, nothing is clear in the doubles - I thing everything is possible on this slow clay. I am afraid, Sunday could be also not only about qualities of the players. At first, Lacko have to beat bad thinkings in his head - than he could of course beat Machado. Advantages for Gil against Klizan are crowds, experiences and shorter match on friday. So, Slovak players have to show more than better quality game against Portugese... But, of course, the chance is there...

Too easy for Portugal. Quite surprised with the final score between Gil-Lacko

Slovaks won doubles 6:3, 6:4, 1:6, 6:1.
So, first step to turnover is done. Second point is on Lukáš Lacko.

Like I said, we lost today NID. I'm surprised that we won one set. But NID too, that we are going to win at least one match tomorrow.
