Looking forward for the ITF desicion to forbide players born in one nation to represent another flags
well, Golubev or Kukushkin would definitely be even worse on this surface, both Andreev and Gaba played pretty good and put up some fight at times

Russia is going to need a pretty good WG playoff draw if Davydenko doesn't play their tie in September. They have really weakened and are one of the worst WG teams now. Hope they stay in.

Great job Sweden, congrats to them on this win!

I know what you mean. I was just being sarcastic that ITF allows players that should be playing for Russia that can easily change their nationalities and represent a new flag.

I just feel sorry for Russia`s team that could be a stronger team as their are Russian born players doing it even for New Zealand.

Re: World Group 1R: Russia at Sweden (March 4-6, 2011)

Since we won the doubles we probably would've won the tie anyway, but it could've been a lot closer if Davydenko had played. Soderling not in need to play his 2nd rubber is something I didn't think Sweden would see for a long time in the world group. Will be hard enough for Soderling to win his two singles rubbers against Serbia, and close to a miracle to win a third one in any of the remaining.
